Hi, I'm Lauren!
Founder of The New Mother Crew & Mom of Three
I am a stepmom to two and biological mom to one. As a new mom in the pregnancy and postpartum phases, I felt a profound shift in my identity and questioned my ability to handle this role. I felt isolated, believing I was alone in my struggles. I was completely overwhelmed and struggling with:
-
Juggling the demands of a career and family.
-
Dealing with hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, and postpartum anxiety and depression.
-
Social pressures around breastfeeding, infant sleep, and professional work.
-
Balancing my personal care, interests, and hobbies.
-
Navigating the healthcare system.
-
Finding reliable and affordable childcare options.
Over time, I realized many other moms have experienced similar emotions and struggles. There are maternal, infant, family, and environmental variables—along with significant psychological, social, and physical changes—that influence the process of becoming a mother and it's just not easy. It takes time and a ton of support. That’s why I founded The New Mother Crew.
The New Mother Crew is a movement to help millions of moms like you to navigate this new role with confidence and joy. I am on a mission to empower women to actively seek support from friends, family, and professional resources to promote a healthier and more fulfilling motherhood experience.
I am so glad that you are here with me!
